It was a Wednesday morning and Kagome was all smiles and sunshine. She was humming a tune while walking her little brother, Souta, to school. Noticing her sister's strange attitude he asked her, "Sis, why are you so happy today?"
"Because, my dear little brother, Carlotta cancelled the rehearsals, for the schools play, today. In other words I don't have to stay after school and look at that stupid Hojo's lovey dovey face at all. Isn't that wonderful?"

Every year on Halloween the students at the high school have their annual contest for the best costume. This year wasn't any different; therefore, Kagome's secret plan she had been working on for weeks was going to work. 'At least I hope it does,' Kagome thought as she put a bottle of soap in her back pack along with her costume. She didn't have time to put it on since she woke up late this morning causing her to rush through her morning duties before driving to school.
