“Tell me again why I’m doing this? Actually, tell me why I even came to school today on Valentines Day?” A none too happy full flesh dog demon said to his human friend.

“Because our school is doing the ‘taking your lovers heart day’ today. And this year the boys have to stay quiet or else their heart will be taken away to the girl who made them talk to her. And-”

“I already know what we’re doing today at school, Kagome. I just want to know why I’m coming to school on this heart day.” He said heart as if it was the worst thing to ever face in his entire life.

“The reason you’re here is because I asked you to.” Kagome grinned at him, knowing all too well that she tricked him into coming to school today. Of course, she needed him to come today. How else was she going to get her crushes heart? As Kagome was replaying her strategy the announcements came on.

“Attention students! Today is our schools national ‘taking your lover’s heart day.’ And this year it’s the boys turn to get their hearts taken away should they talk to a girl. So girls, use your wits, plans, revenge, whatever to get the boys talking to you. The female with the most hearts will win the grand prize of $50 dollars. Any boys left with their hearts come to the office after school to win our small grand prize. Now, boys come to the main office to get your heart. Remember to write your name in pen or marker. As soon as every boy gets his heart we’ll let the games begin!”

Kagome couldn’t help but giggle at her friend Sango. She had such a great talent at being an announcer. Especially at being the schools announcer. She heard a growl next to her. She peeked her head at Sesshomaru to see his face. His expression showed nothing but she could tell he was irritated. She patted his shoulder before saying, “Don’t be too harsh with the lady’s today. Okay? See ya in sixth hour……. fluffy.” She quickly ran away as fast as her legs could go before he thought about chasing after her for calling him the worst nickname in known history. At least that’s what he thinks anyway.

Sesshomaru sat in the back row as usual. Like every year, at least when it was the boys turn anyway, thousand of girls would try to get him to talk to them. Like each and every, boy, year he didn’t say a word to them. He always tried to avoid coming to school on this specific day, but an unknown source came knocking at his door telling him to come to school. Today he knew his source but it wasn’t always Kagome who always made him come to school on this day.

He let out a sigh. Korma can be such a bitch sometimes. And he didn’t know what the hell he did wrong to deserve this. ‘Don’t be too harsh with the lady’s today,’ suddenly popped into his head.

‘Could that be the reason why I go through this endless torture? Because I’m too cruel hearted with women?’ Sesshomaru thought to himself. That could explain a few things. But then again… ‘That can’t be it. I need to be harsh because I need to survive from them. Annoying moths, they all are.’ And then his thoughts of irritation of women began.

A female human came in. She saw Sesshomaru and thought of ways to get his heart. She saw the board in front of the classroom. She walked over to it and wrote, ‘Sesshomaru is hot!’

“Oh Sesshomaru!” She said. Sesshomaru looked up to the front of the class to see Sarah pointing at the board. He saw what she wrote. He really wanted to tell her what he thought through someone else. Then it hit him.

He looked around the classroom and there sitting two seats away was Sango. She was the schools announcer. People who work at the school couldn’t participate in these kind of games. She would be perfect to help him teach these bothersome women what he thought of them. He got out of his seat and walked over to where Sango sat.

She was minding her own business when she noticed Sesshomaru sat down in the seat next to hers. ‘I wonder what he wants?’ She thought suspiciously.

She saw him put his head into one of hands, his face towards hers, and said. “Of course I’m hot Sango. Any idiot could tell you that.”

Sango gave him the dumbest look she had given to anybody. ‘What the hell did he just say?’ She noticed his eyes not looking at hers but at the front of the room. She followed his eyes and finally the light bulb clicked. “Oh,” was all she could say. She saw where he was getting at. He was just using her so he could tell all his fan club girls to back off. And she couldn’t steal his heart because she worked for the school. Now she completely got the picture. Sadly so did Sarah.

Sarah went back to her seat not saying a word. She knew her turn was over.

Kagura saw what was going on and decided to give it a shot. She walked up to the board and erased what Sarah wrote. She scribbled on the board. When she finished she showed Sesshomaru what she wrote. ‘Will you go out with me?’

Sesshomaru turned his head to Sango and said, “You know Sango, I’m not that interested in dating anyone right now.”

Like Sarah, Kagura sat down in her seat. She knew she lost when it happened.

Kagome saw the whole thing. Sarah and Kagura stole her idea in getting Sesshomaru’s heart. ‘Those fiends! They stole my idea. Now what am I going to do?’ Thirty seconds remained before sixth hour started. ‘Think Kagome, think! What’s one thing they didn’t do yet?’ It quickly smacked her in the face. She ran up to the front of the room and erased everything except ‘Sesshomaru.’ Ten seconds remained in the clock before class would begin. If she wasted any time she would lose her chance.

She scribbled something big and in caps size. Five seconds. She moved out of the way for him too see what she wrote.

Sesshomaru was shocked to see Kagome run up to the board and immediately write something. ‘Just what the hell is the raven haired human thinking in that pretty head of hers?’ he wondered as she scribbled her word.

When she moved out of the way he read what she wrote. ‘Sesshomaru ‘SUCKS!!!’

That shot his nerve point. He stood up, with red in his eyes starring at Kagome, and said. “Why you little-”

RING, RING, RING! The bell rang itself. Right on cue.

Everyone in the room made gasps. Sesshomaru Taisho, the Great Dog Lord Demon, the most beautiful, golden eyed, long silver haired, man anyone had ever seen, the demon with an ice for a heart, actually spoke on Valentines Day, when it was the boys turn to be silent.

Sesshomaru just starred at Kagome, with her victory smile on her face, while he left his bottom jaw drop from his perfect lips. Kagome couldn’t help but giggle at him. ‘Fluffy always looked cute when he did stupid acts to himself.’ She thought to herself as she walked over to him.

She stood in front of him and lifted one finger to connect his jaw back to his mouth. Then her fingers drifted to his heart necklace. “Thanks for the heart Sesshomaru. Didn’t know you had one with all the hurt you caused me.” She pulled the string off of the heart. A little piece of the heart was torn. She looked at his eyes and said, “That’s for never noticing my feelings for you.” Acting as if the papered heart was actually his real heart.

“Miss Kagome Higarashi! Just because I’m not in the classroom when the bell rings doesn’t mean you can wonder around like a lunatic. The same goes for you Mister Sesshomaru Taisho.” Said the witch of a teacher.

Kagome slid herself over the desk next to Sesshomaru and sat down. Realizing Sesshomaru wasn’t going to sit anytime soon, she forced him to sit down. He covered his face in his hands. He did not want to be where he was right now.

Ten minutes passed and Sesshomaru still stayed in the position he was in. Kagome beginning to worry about him. She didn’t know she would hurt his pride this much. She raised her and, without being called on, said, “Hey teach. Sesshomaru is not feeling too well. Can I take him to the nurse’s office?”

The teacher turned around and stared Kagome in the face. “First of all my name isn’t teach. Secondly-” she was about to say no to Kagome’s request but when she saw Sesshomaru sitting there with his head in his hands she quickly took it back. “I guess you can take him to see the nurse. But you two better come back when he’s feeling well.”

“Will do mam.” Kagome said, using a hand gesture that soldiers do when they are being given orders. Kagome took Sesshomaru’s wrist and lead him away. Before they left the door, Kagome glanced over at the class. Majority of them were still pretty shocked about the whole incident. Sarah and Kagura, however, gave her dark menacing gazes. Kagome just shrugged at them and left the classroom, tugging Sesshomaru all the way.

They both were alone in the hallway, and still Sesshomaru let Kagome tug him around as if he were a dog on a leash being pulled by his evil master. The thought started to irritated Kagome. For crying out loud, she should be the one embarrassed not him. She was the one who told him how she felt about him. Five years of being friends and she finally told him how she felt. But he was being such a baby over his pride that he didn’t notice what she said to him.

Kagome stopped walking. She struggled for weeks now on how to tell him how she felt and he was too busy with his pride to care. She let go of his hand. She was going to tell him to stop his pathetic whining over his pride. But right when she turned around to face him he grabbed her by the shoulders and pulled her to lean on the wall made of lockers.

“S-Sesshomaru? What are you-”

“So you love me do you?”

Kagome couldn’t help but blush. He said it so simple as if saying that was a daily thing. She couldn’t look at him so her eyes drew down to the floor. Now she was the one embarrassed. She felt fingers lightly touch under her chin and help lifted her face up to meet his eyes. Such lovely gold they were.

She heard him softly say, “Kagome do you love me?”

“I believe I made it quite clear back in the classroom.”

“Why didn’t you tell me before all this?”

“Because I didn’t know how to tell a man who breaks thousands of women’s hearts how I felt about him. Especially to one who tries to hide his heart.”

His fingers drifted to her lips. His soft fingers ran over her smooth lips as if they were a fascinating toy to him. She felt her heart slowly racing. His single touch could cause any woman to go insane.

She closed her eyes, letting herself feel the sweet ecstasy she was causing her to feel. She lifted her hands to wrap around his. “Sesshomaru?” she hazily said, “How might you feel about me?”

She saw the ends of his mouth curve up to make a smile. “At first I was pretty much too furious too understand what you said. But then your words slowly came to me piece by piece. That was when I had to realize something.”

“Which is?”

“That I loved you.” He leaned down and kissed her smooth lips. This wasn’t what Kagome expected from this day. Actually she didn’t know what to expect. But if she did, this would be better then what she would have thought.

Her hands drifted up his back and clung onto his shirt. Sesshomaru lifted one of his hands to run through her black hair to cup her head. Secretly being mischiefious, he sneaked his other arm around her waist, pulling her closer to his chest. She sighed his name out loud. His kisses drifted away from her mouth to her jaw bone and down to her neck. She couldn’t help but tilt her head back in pleasure as he laid more kisses there. Sesshomaru could hear her panting in passion.

“Hey you two! What are you doing out in the halls during class time?!” Someone yelled out in the hall.

They both opened their eyes in shock, even though they can’t remember closing them. They both turned their head in the direction where the intruder spoke. It was the principal!

“Um…… we were um……were just…… we were just leaving!” Kagome grabbed Sesshomaru’s hand and they both ran out of the school. When they were in the school yard they slowed their pace. They looked at each other and couldn’t help but laugh.

They laughed all the way to Kagome’s house, while holding hands.

The next day in sixth hour class. The witch of a teacher gave both Kagome and Sesshomaru detention for a whole entire month for doing inappropriate behavior out in the halls.
